Container Handling
Container handling is directly operated by the Port of Waterford under the care of our highly experienced workforce.
We use two long reach gantry cranes and store containers in a secure compound under the legs. This removes the need for secondary handling, minimising cost and potential damage. Our terminal handles all ships on arrival.
The rail-connected container terminal provides 200 container plug-in points, weighbridges at the gate entrance, container electronic data interfaces, container maintenance and depot facilities.
