Building a Safer Port, Together
As Port Safety Week 2025 comes to an end, it’s been a busy week of active learning, teamwork with commitment to safer operations throughout the port.
Highlights included:
• An HSA presentation on promoting a strong safety culture across ports and docks
• Dulann clinics on managing safety digitally
• A live Man-Overboard exercise with Waterford City River Rescue (CRBI)
• AED and CPR workshops, kindly sponsored by Seamus Healy Mooring Ltd
• Safety & Security Awareness leaflet campaign with Port visitors & contractors
We were also proud to make a donation to the Dillon Quirke Foundation, supporting cardiac screening for teenagers to help prevent Sudden Adult Death Syndrome – with thanks to Conor Haley from Abbey Community College who is fundraising for this vital cause.
