Port of Waterford invites applications for the following position: Marine Pilot
The ideal candidate should fulfill the following requirements;
- Applicants should possess a valid STCW (regulation II/2) Certificate of Competency (Deck) on vessels of 500gt or more and be sailing in the position of Mate / Master. An STCW (regulation II/1) OOW Unlimited Certificate may be considered;
- The successful applicant must permanently reside within close proximity of the Pilot Station at Dunmore East, Co. Waterford;
- A full, clean driver’s licence is essential;
- Applicants must have a legal entitlement to work in Ireland and a proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing the English language; and,
- The Port of Waterford reserves the right to shortlist candidates and / or form a panel for future vacancies.
