Cruise ships calling to Waterford 2023 is announced
There are 20 visits in all bringing a total of 27,000 passengers and almost 12,000 crew to these shores.
The calls are split between Belview Port , the centre of commercial shipping, and picturesque Dunmore East harbour operated by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine .
Visitors can experience 1,000 years of history in 1,000 steps in Waterford’s Viking Triangle, marvel at Waterford Crystal, navigate the Copper Coast, explore ancient abbeys such as Rock of Cashel, see which lords lived in the likes of Kilkenny Castle and see how ancestors travelled from Ireland on the Dunbrody Famine ship.
The Port is happy to play its part in welcoming the visitors and facilitating tourism in the region and look forward to continuing to work with stakeholders to promote all aspects of the sunny South East.
