BELVIEW

S. J. Murphy (Waterford) and South East Port Services stevedore a range of cargoes on the 390m bulk berths.  These berths include an additional 190m extension of quay built to handle more vessels. This linear extension to the existing berth greatly enhances overall handling capacity at Belview.

Suir Shipping Limited provide stevedoring services on a private general cargo berth adjacent to the Belview terminal.

Waterford Container Terminal Limited provide an independent stevedoring service for unit load cargoes on the 450m container terminal berth.

 

The Belview complex is served by on-site warehousing, direct rail spurs to national rail system, and the construction of a dedicated road link to the N25 Euroroute.

Vessels of up to 32,000 dwt, 197m l.o.a. can be accommodated at Belview.

GREAT ISLAND
Endesa Ireland operatea jetty for supplying fuel to the Great Island Power Generating Station.

FIDDOWN
Morris Oil private berth for oil depot, 7 miles up river of Waterford City, on River Suir.

CITY QUAYS
In common with practices elsewhere, the Port of Waterford Company is vacating inner city quays, with all commercial shipping relocating to Belview. All future port development will be at Belview.  While the City Quays are pending development, they are currently available for limited use for shipping.
