Marine Site Investigation – Drilling of Boreholes
Please be advised that a marine site investigation will take place in Waterford City Quays, commencing Tuesday 1st August 2017 and is expected to take three weeks to complete.
The works will involve use of a jack-up spud pontoon, which will be drilling boreholes across the river, between Halls Jetty and Meaghers Quay. The pontoon “JAKUP” measures 25m x 17m, with 34m legs. Work will take place during the normal working week. Appropriate lights and signals will be exhibited.
A listening watch will be maintained on VHF Channels 16 and 14. All craft are requested to keep clear of the work platform and attending vessels, and to give it a wide berth at all times, particularly when it is manoeuvring.
